The Roland FP-40 digital piano combines a slim, portable design with upgraded sound, responsive playability, and connected features for home practice and everyday piano playing. It is aimed at beginner piano learners, hobbyists, and players who want an Expressive  compact digital piano sound, weighted keys, built-in speakers, and app-based learning support.
At the heart of the FP-40, you’ll find Roland’s latest-generation Piano Reality engine. Shared with part of the GP series of grand pianos, this brings brand new grand piano samples to the FP-40, paired with Roland’s industry-leading modelling technologygiving the FP-40 the expressive nuance of a well-regulated acoustic piano. 

Piano Reality Sound Engine: Replaces the older SuperNATURAL engine. It borrows modelling technology from Roland's flagship GP-series grand pianos to deliver greater depth, resonance, detail and tonal character for a more expressive grand piano sound.
